AARP Virginia Offers Free September Webinars on Cooking, History, Healthy Living and Financial Planning

RICHMOND, Va. — AARP Virginia invites adults across the Commonwealth to explore a variety of free virtual learning opportunities this September. From budget-friendly cooking demonstrations and Virginia history programs to practical guidance on downsizing and understanding Social Security, these online events offer education, inspiration and opportunities to connect from the comfort of home.

Registration is free and AARP membership is not required. 

Dinner in a SNAP: Teriyaki Pork & Fried Rice

Date: Sept. 1, 2026
Time: 5-5:30 p.m.
Join AARP and Mercy Chefs for a virtual cooking demonstration featuring Teriyaki Pork Tenderloin and Fried Brown Rice. Participants will learn how to prepare a healthy, affordable meal using ingredients that can be purchased with SNAP benefits.
