On August 3, 2024 several members of The Wise County Historical Society enjoyed a trip to the St Paul Virginia Railroad Museum. This Museum has been open to the public since its renovation in the 1990’s.
After the tour of the museum, Jerry Couch presented a program on the history of St Paul. The members reported there was much about St Paul they were not aware of. Mr. Couch is Editor of the Clinch Valley Times in St. Paul, which is an on-line publication. He was so informative and entertaining, the members stayed an hour longer than intended.
Members of The Wise County Historical Society hope in the future to visit each town in the county for similar meetings.
