“Before the Lebanon store opened, Russell County-area customers had to travel 20 miles or more to the nearest ABC store in St. Paul or Abingdon to purchase products,” said Painter. “For more than a decade, Virginia ABC has been opening stores in more rural areas to reduce travel time for customers. The Lebanon store opening is one more way to enable us to better meet the needs of customers and restaurant licensees
across the state.”
“Virginia ABC has opened more than 80 stores in the last 10 years and has plans to open additional stores based on market research, customer demand and available locations,” said Hill. “We are excited to be in the Lebanon and Russell County communities. The interest and enthusiasm around this store opening is tremendous and we look forward to providing outstanding customer service to our retail customers and licensee businesses.”
The new Lebanon store measures 3,000 square feet and includes a customized selection of more than 1,300 items including 236 vodkas, 216 bourbons, 146 cordials, 108 rums and miniature items, and 90 tequilas. “We’re eager to welcome customers, answer their questions and fulfill special requests,” said Reeder. “As we get to know customers and restaurant licensees in this area, we will adjust the store’s product selection to
accommodate their tastes.”
The store is open 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and noon to 6 p.m. on Sunday. The store employs three sales associates. Customers are encouraged to visit Virginia ABC’s website at http://www.abc.virginia.gov to search for ABC stores, determine the availability of products at any of the 373 retail locations and order spirits online for delivery to a local store.
