Many years have passed since a carnival came to St. Paul. At one time, they were a much-anticipated yearly event. Carnivals usually set up for business on the (then) vacant lot beside the little league field. That’s where the pictures in this article were taken. Those of you with sharp eyes will notice the St. Paul Coca-Cola Bottling Company’s plant in the background.
Though we no longer have carnivals to entertain us, we do have Clinch River Days which is coming up next week. It will take place May 31st., June 1st, and June 2nd. in St. Paul. For the complete schedule of events, visit https://www.clinchriverfest.com/
The following week, we can enjoy viewing some very nice cars during the Crooked Road Rod Run Car Show. This event will take place in the Riverside Shopping Center area near Advance Auto on Saturday, June 9th. Last year, hundreds of people attended the event and this year it promises to be even bigger and better.
There are plenty of things to see and do RIGHT HERE, so take advantage of the opportunity to enjoy them 🙂

That’s me and my cousin Kim Kelly on a ride don’t know who the guy in the middle is.
