“I think we did a great job of getting back up for this game after a very emotional game on Wednesday at Wise Central, said Spartans head coach Chris Clay. It would have been easy not to be focused. It was a really big crowd with lots of fans on both sides. They are a really good team with a great record. We knew we had to respect them and we knew we also had to get after them and we did that from the first pitch. If we’re aggressive and put pressure on a defense it seems like things go our way. We’ve got some guys who can swing the bats but our offense is still based a real aggressive offense from a running stand point and taking care of the little things. I thought we did that early and throughout the game today. I don’t know if that’s the best Rasnick has ever thrown but it is right up there. He didn’t do that (pitch a no-hitter) against some JV team, that was a nine and one team that he just struck out eleven of fifteen batters. He was around the plate all night and came back from a couple of 3 and 0 counts and got some strikeouts. I don’t know if he could have thrown much better.”
