Pound, VA – Richmond Ballet’s Studio Company presents an exciting evening of classical and contemporary works, showcasing the versatility, athleticism, and artistry of its talented emerging dancers. Pro-Art welcomes Richmond Ballet Studio Company to the Wise County Performing Arts Center at J.W. Adams Combined School in Pound on Thursday, April 30th at 7 p.m. Tickets are $20 at the door. Children and students will be admitted free. For more information and to make reservations, please visit proartva.org.
The performance will highlight “La Bayadère Pas de Six,” a grand classical showpiece from Act III of the beloved ballet. The program also features two compelling works by Richmond Ballet Artistic Director Ma Cong: “Alone, Beside Me,” a poignant duet exploring the complexities of love and connection, and “Crash,” a gripping solo that delves into personal conflict and endurance. Salvatore Aiello’s “Notturno” adds a lyrical dimension, pairing expressive choreography with the evocative music of Franz Schubert.
